As an actor, I tried neurofeedback to help with anxiety before auditions. This was a very helpful solution. I learned to calm my mind and prevent the systemic effects that I had previously been experiencing. Sleep issues and depression had plagued me for years. I felt like I had tried everything, and then I found Colorado Center for Neurofeedback. The improvement in my sleep was amazing, and this of course effected my mood. For the first time in over 10 years, I am medication free, sleeping well and loving life—all thanks to neurofeedback.
Brian (Age 33)
I took my son to interview at a private school and they told me they would not take him unless he was medicated for ADHD. After meeting with Colorado Center for Neurofeedback and completing in depth history and assessment, we learned that it was perhaps his sleeping and vision problems that were the underlying issue. At six, he had never slept through the night. We did try medication, and it was a nightmare! Why would you want to give a stimulant to a child that doesn’t sleep? Mary Page suggested that we purchase one of the fitness/sleep monitors and measure his progress. He went from sleeping 7.5 hours/night to sleep 11 hours/night. He completed neurofeedback and vision therapy and is now thriving in a GT program.
At Colorado Center for Neurofeedback, I felt like the therapists really listened to me. My son had been on ADD meds for years, but had many other issues as well. He was lying, stealing and beginning to show other compulsive behaviors. After completing the brain map, we were able to see that he had too much fast activity, and probably never needed a stimulant medication. We were able to work with our doctor to wean his medications, and his therapist instantly saw a spark in him that she had not seen in the previous two years. He is off all meds and is thriving. The neurofeedback really helped his anxiety. We couldn’t be more pleased with our decision. Thanks to Colorado Center for Neurofeedback we have our child back.
David (father of a high school freshman)
I am a college student who tried neurofeedback for ADD. I was very surprised when I got my brain map back and Mary Page asked me about dyslexia and auditory processing issues. I had been told that I had dyslexia in elementary school, but never thought that this could still be my problem. Before neurofeedback, I was unable to listen to the professor and simultaneously take notes. I cannot even begin to express my thanks to Colorado Center for Neurofeedback for the improvements in my academic career.
Kylie: Soon to be a college graduate!
I called Colorado Center for Neurofeedback when I went to pick up my medications and found that the doctor had added in another drug. Because Mary Page is a nurse practitioner, she was able to explain to me the importance of understanding what medications I was taking and how they might interact with each other. I decided that I wanted to do a referenced EEG (Reeg) to find which medication would be most effective for me. She referred me back to my psychiatrist so I could safely wean off of my medications. The Reeg report was sent to my doctor who ended up prescribing a totally different class of medication. I am so happy to have found one medication that works well for me.
I had weaned off all of my medications before coming to Colorado Center for Neurofeedback, and was experiencing anxiety and depression. I chose to send in a urine neurotransmitter test which showed which brain neurotransmitters were out of balance. I began on amino acid supplementation, and completed two rounds of neurofeedback. My family and friends cannot believe the difference in my energy and mood. It is nice to feel like my old self again! Unbelievable to have found this resource right in Evergreen.
When my mom brought me to Colorado Center for Neurofeedback, I was not very excited. We had tried many things, but I was sick of feeling bad about myself and failing in school. One of the therapists at Colorado Center for Neurofeedback has even worked with Olympic athletes, so I decided to give it a try. The first thing I noticed was how calm and focused I felt. I sleep much better, and my grades have improved. I had taken ADD meds in elementary school, but never liked how I felt. I was able to see my brain map and understand what was really going on with me. The sessions are fun, and even though it takes time and commitment, I would say it is definitely worth it.

" Colorado Center for Neurofeedback has been life-changing for my boys and our family. I only wish I had learned of it sooner."
Bringing our son(s) to Colorado Center for Neurofeedback was transformative in the most positive ways. Mary Page provided guidance with our individualized Neurotherapy programs which allowed our boys to be able to attend public school and succeed academically. Our diagnosed dyslexic and ADHD son became a fluid reader in less than one year. Mary Page's educational and medical background provided an objective third-party opinion on their needs as well as terrific guidance on seeking educational help, qualifying our children for the GT program, understanding their emotional challenges, and even directing us towards vision therapy. Vision therapy gave one of our sons the ability to read for extended periods, ride a bike and go swimming. None of which he could do before. All of this happened by working with Mary Page. Neurotherapy has made a positive impact, on both of our sons, that will be with them forever.
My son was evaluated at Colorado Center for Neurofeedback, and it was determined that his attention problems were due to excessive fast activity and a significant learning disability which caused anxiety whenever he was asked to read. We did what the doctors call a “trial” of medication and instantly we knew this was the wrong thing for our son. He kept saying, “Mom, I don’t feel right”. We ended up not sleeping for two days. Mary Page helped us find resources through the schools and referred us for educational testing. My son has now been identified as double gifted and is doing well. We are so happy that went with neurofeedback instead of medications.
